I understand today Canada is tightening our gun laws. They are pretty tight, but there is always room for improvement. The criminals and gangs have no problem getting them. The news reports they are easily purchased in the US and smuggled into Canada.
On a summer night a few years ago, three doors up in the lane was a gangland shooting. They used an automatic rifle. Our windows were open and I will never forget the sound of that rifle. Luckily none of the 38 bullets (Global showed the counters on TV) killed anyone. Apparently it as a gang "warning".
I can't imagine what it's like in the US. When I read twitter and see articles like these, I just shake my head:
Our azalea bushes are thriving right now. Our pink dogwood trees are in full bloom. I decided to take a picture as the blooms will go and other flowers will start appearing. Because we were away we are behind in our garden. Before we left, it was too early and cold to plant flowers. Last year we bought six new rose bushes and only two survived the winter. They were so colourful and fragrant now we are worried about buying more roses. It was a nasty winter.
