Royal Caribbean has some interesting concepts. We were given watch like wristbands that look like a fit bit. They let you in your room, off the ship and let you order or purchase anything on board. Princess is rolling that technology out but RCCL had it first. Great to wear in the pool! Great for kids! No more lanyards. In the elevator there is a star button. Press the star and it takes you to the floor the gangway is on! No more guessing, just press the star. They also have the day of the week on the floor of very elevator. They change it at midnight.
Dave's dad and Adele are on a 50 day cruise. They are on Holland America's Amsterdam. The cruise started in Hong Kong and they sail through the orient, down under and back to San Diego. They are home just before Christmas. There are six grandchildren, Lexi (12) is the oldest. Adele is sending all the grandchildren emails with pictures of monuments at the cities they are visiting. The game is "Where in the World are Grandma and Grandpa"? What a wonderful idea. The first night of our cruise Lexi took an awesome picture of the sunset with the wake of the ship. She emailed it to Adele with the caption "Where in the World is Lexi"!
There are so many activities and seminars throughout the day. I would take a picture of the Daily Planner but you would never be able to read it! I will try to copy it into PDF format and see if you can read it online. If so, I'll post a day when we return home. We plan on meeting our friends for trivia. Trivia is 50/50 guess, true or false and you really don't know what the correct answer is. It's not as "skillful" as other lines. The prize is a key chain. So when you lose, you really don't care. It's all for the fun of it. One of the activities you don't find on other lines is open skating! The skates are free! Now off for another wonderful day!
Another day in paradise! |
