While we were in Edinburgh, both the Tattoo and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival were on! There are 9,000 people at each performance of the Tattoo. We were there on Saturday when there are two performances at 7:30 and 10:30. We took the earlier performance so 18,000 people were at the Tattoo that night. The streets were closed to cars because the people needed the space to walk. The crowds were massive!
This year the Tattoo had over 1200 performers and musicians in the cast from nations around the world. The Tattoo donates over £1 million to supporting service and arts organizations each year.
