We woke up to another beautiful sunny hot day in the UK. We've waited for a year for this cruise. Cheryl and Dave decide to join us. We have three mini-suites together on Baja Deck. My British cousin Jean Burton will be rooming with Lexie.

Picture of the ship from our room. I had to use zoom as it's .6 miles away. (Thank you Google Girl) |
Ship - The Royal Princess, 142,714 Tons, 3600 passengers and she's coming to the West Coast to sail Alaska from Vancouver starting May 11, 2019! She's going northbound for seven days and southbound for seven days. Many people from Vancouver do a seven day round trip so they don't have to fly home. However, I suggest everyone does a land package just once to see the real Alaska. Denali (known to most by Mt. McKinley) is absolutely wonderful! The park does not allow cars so you have to do a tour. They offer a tour that travels 53 miles into the tundra. The magnificent vistas, wild animals and scenery are spectacular. If you don't want to fly home you can take a southbound cruise back.
Listen to the ships horn:
Royal Princess Ship HornWill be fun to hear when it leaves Vancouver every 14 days next summer!

Select Royal Princess on this linkBecause this is my 17th Princess cruise I get free laundry, free dry cleaning, priority boarding, a discount in the boutique, appies in our cabin on formal nights, afternoon tea served in our cabin if we want but the best perk is 250 minutes free internet! Cruise ships use satellites for the wi-fi signal and if a lot of passengers are using it the speed slows dramatically. They block streaming to keep the bandwidth open but it can be frustrating. I will be updating my blog when it's possible.
