If you've ever cruised and had a port where there is no port facility available, you've been on a tender. These tenders are usually very uncomfortable with metal benches and not a lot of legroom if you are tall. They are very difficult to board if you have mobility issues and if you are in a wheel chair you can't use them. Celebrity found a fantastic solution.

This is one of the best innovations on this new Celebrity ship. I'm sure anyone disabled will appreciate the boarding process. A friend in a wheel chair could not disembark on a tender. She was on a Panama Canal cruise and she missed some great ports. The cruise line would not allow passengers in wheel chairs to board the tenders as it's a safety issue. The new Edge tenders will make it so much easier for disabled people to board,
