Donald Trump's visit to the UK

I won't get political, however, when I was in the UK, many people had a lot to say about US President, Donald Trump.  They assumed were American's when they would hear us talk.  I quickly let them know I'm a proud Canadian and a Monarchist!  When Trump visited the UK last time, they kept him out of London.

This week he will be in London visiting the Royal Family.  He will not be staying at Buckingham Palace and will not receive the usual processional that other state leaders receive.  On every other state visit, the Queen and other Members of the Royal Family greet visitors with a ceremonial welcome, which usually takes place on Horse Guards Parade.  The visiting party is invited to inspect a Guard of Honour before travelling back to the Palace in a carriage procession escorted by a large number of mounted soldiers from the Household Cavalry. The welcome is accompanied by gun salutes fired from Green Park and the Tower of London.  This entire ceremonial welcome for the first time is not happening!  Some VIP's have refused the invitation of the Queen to the state dinner.

I read on Twitter, David Brody from CBN, (CBN is The Christian Broadcasting Network, founded by Pat Robertson) called out the news networks for saying Donald Trump did not call Meghan "nasty".  He called it "Fake News".  However, the Canadian TV networks showed the actual interview in length.  It was with The Sun, a British tabloid newspaper, and YES he did say that, I heard it.  The interview is easy to find online.  I guess Donald Trump "forgot" what he said...here is his tweet.....

I never called Meghan Markle “nasty.” Made up by the Fake News Media, and they got caught cold! Will @CNN, @nytimes and others apologize? Doubt it!

Donald Trump has also said some "nasty" things about the Royal Family in the past and his views on climate change and those of Prince Charles couldn't be farther apart.  They are having tea together and they say Prince Charles will not bring up climate change.

A former Coronation Street star recorded a message I saw on Twitter.  She is now performing on the stage in the West End and is very well known and respected in the UK.  Here is her message:

London Demonstration in Trafalgar Square Tuesday

I hope there isn't violence and it's a peaceful demonstration.  I'll be watching BBC Canada, not the slanted US news networks. FOX, CNN, or MSN.

Donald Trump has made twelve international trips, however, he hasn't come to Canada.  It was nice to see Vice President Pence and his wife visit Ottawa this week.  I find it interesting the US Networks call the new trade agreement USMCA.  The Canadian Networks and our Government refers to it as NAFTA 2.0.
The Mayor of London has granted permission for the protesters to fly this balloon on Tuesday.

It's time for Aunty Acid
