Cruising on the Diamond Princess

I've been wondering how people on board the Diamond Princess are coping now they are all confined to their rooms.  I can't imagine how people who are in inside cabins are dealing with staying in their rooms for hours with no windows or fresh air.   It must be horrible.  I found a passenger who is videoing on Facebook.  David Abel is from the UK.  He's been contacted by BBC, ITV, CBC and some US TV stations.  He is in a mini-suite and very positive.

Today he's posted more videos and positive messages.  He's stopped interviews with everyone except British reporters.  Technology is helping these passengers.  The ship is not passing on information and if you were suppose to disembark three days ago and you know you will be in your room for 12 more days you would be wanting to know.  Today 10 more passengers were taken off, two Canadians who tested positive for the virus.  Now, is it another 14 days from this point and at what point will they let these passengers off.

David reported passengers in inside and ocean view cabins are allowed to walk on Deck 15 for 90 minutes a day.  At least they will get fresh air and exercise.  He also reports meals being delivered to the rooms are much better.  Coming at specific times and you can choose!

The passengers have set up a Facebook page for passengers only.  They are phoning each other by phone to keep in touch.  The ship is being controlled by the Japanese government as they are in Japanese waters.   I'm hoping they find somewhere to quarantine these passengers on land.
