When we got there the line was massive! It had snowed in the morning and there was still snow on the fields. The wind was blowing and it was cold. I was not about to wait for at least an hour a half or longer as the line was almost around the building and Costco Abbotsford is huge!
Seniors hours during the pandemic are 8:00 AM - 9:00 AM Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. You cannot take other people with you. I've been speaking at a safe distance to our neighbours. Marilyn got to Costco at 7:50 and waited an hour. Len went yesterday as it was his first day out of quarantine and got there at 7:20 and waited more than an hour.
I woke up early and thought I would sit in my car waiting for the line to start. I got to Costco Langley at 6:55 and immediately got in the line.
The line went to the end of the building and we were in the wrap around line Picture taken at 6:55 AM |
Costco opened the doors at 7:15 AM!!! When I went through the door, I heard them say, only five more! They passed out wipes when you entered. The warehouse was fully stocked and not the least bit crowded! They showed all the "out of stock" items on a white board at the entrance. Lysol wipes, Facial tissue and a few other things I didn't need were on the list. They had toilet paper, but not a lot. There was someone at the toilet paper making sure you only took one!
Cashier lines were clearly marked where to stand. Plexiglass between you and the cashier. So well organized and a pleasure to shop.
I won't be going back anytime soon because I really stocked up. Thank you Costco for the early opening!
