I am voting by mail. If you are voting by mail, the deadline is fast approaching! I want to make sure my vote is correctly submitted and I found this video online:
If you don't know your candidates, here is the link:

My parents stressed on the right to vote. They would go to the poll and sometimes cancel each other's votes. As a teenager, I thought that was really funny. Cec and I always discuss who we are going to vote for and have always agreed. We don't follow any political party, but see who is running and how it will impact our lives.
10 reasons to vote:
- It's your right.
- It will affect your future.
- You can impact change.
- You have new ideas and energy. New ideas mean new solutions. Just engaging could reshape dialogue around certain issues.
- If you vote, your more likely to be involved in your community.
- You have the most to gain. Whether you are a student or at the prime of life, why wait to make your vote count.
- You influence more than you think.
- It's easy and doesn't take much time.
- Diversity matters. Different voices, experiences and backgrounds help shape our province.
- Our ancestors fought for our right to vote.
If you watched the debate and remember the line "you sold the land, man", that relates to the Surrey Hospital promised about 12 years ago. The land they sold was right behind Fresh Street Market a block from us! It isn't a huge piece of land for a hospital and it was sold to a developer who is building on it right now. Massive townhouses and apartments with no social housing.
The NDP announced a hospital in Cloverdale. We know the property well and there is a lot of room for expansion and parking. The site in Panorama lacked both. Not getting political but the new hospital site is much better.
