I love going through old pictures. The first picture is Cheryl and the second one is Lexie. They still look alike but now their differences are showing up. Cheryl excelled in Math and French and Lexie excels in English and Drama. Lexie got the sense of humour at a young age. Cheryl was pretty serious at 15! They both love to cook and bake. I have no idea where that came from.
This was taken at Sparks a few years ago. Lexie was six. I was going to be a Sparks leader, but was on a long cruise to Australia, so Cheryl filled in until I got back. I love the entire Girl Guide movement. I was never an outdoors or camping person, but I loved the activities, the comradery and message it gives young girls.
Reminder to self, order some Girl Guide cookies! Due to COVID-19, Girl Guides across the country had to find ways to sell their cookies The spring classic cookies were on sale at Save On Foods but the fall chocolate mint cookies are an online order. It's a huge fund raising project. I'm hoping they will show up at Save On or London Drugs, but if I can't find them, I will order them online and pay the shipping. Girl Guides have been selling cookies since 1927. They freeze great and the fall ones are more like a chocolate mint bar than a cookie. In previous years, I would give them to seniors for Christmas!

Cheryl and Lexie asked me not post their current pictures on my blog and I will respect their wishes.
