Local birds in our neighbourhood

We live in a busy neighbourhood, but we do see a lot of birds.  We have many crows and sometimes the flock is so big, they make a loud noise you can hear inside.  We look out and it's a murder of birds all over the roofs of the neighbouring houses!

When we walk we see blue jays and other birds, but we've never seen the one below.  One of our neighbours at the other end of the complex texted me these pictures he took in his back yard.  I forwarded them to Richard and he said that woodpecker has been in his yard many times.  He feels his nest is close by.  What a beautiful site.

I'll try to get some pictures of birds on our walk.
