I don't usually pay too much attention to Ground Hog Day, but this year I've had lots of time and it's been raining far too much and it's time for spring. Shubenacadie Sam in Nova Scotia called for an early spring. He was the first Canadian ground hog. Wiarton Willie in Ontario was no where to be seen, so the officials threw a hat in the air and said we were getting an early spring. I'm not looking at Pennsylvania's Punxsutawney Phil as everything out of the US is fake news. So, I'll trust the Canadian ground hogs and enjoy an early spring.
This picture was on the morning news yesterday from a downtown cam, pointed at the north shore mountains:
It was such a wonderful day, we decided to go to Abbotsford. It's always a nice drive and Costco in Abbotsford is larger than Costco in Langley. Social distancing was not a problem, as it's never busy. Gas was $1.17 per litre, which is a lot better than the $1.36 at our corner!
What a nice way to spend a sunny day. Rain is forecast for today! Oh well, I'll take one nice day in February and at least it isn't snowing.
