Day 10 - Endicott Arm Fjord

We attempted to navigate Endicott Arm to see Dawes Glacier, but the ice is too abundant.  It is floating around and the ship could get in a position that it couldn't turn around.  We circled the entrance and saw some of it, but it was just too dangerous to go into the fjord.  Next month we are back to Alaska on Discovery Princess and it is scheduled to see Dawes Glacier.  Hopefully the ice will be gone as it will be much warmer.  The waters are calm and we are slowly going south to Ketchikan.

This only shows one very large piece of ice.  I didn't stay out as it was cold!  We never had any rain.

The day started out very cloudy but later in the afternoon the sun tried to shine through the clouds.  Lots of activities were planned.  We did music trivia and we are usually pretty good, however, it was music in the last twenty years, mostly.  We also went to a seminar for keeping you safe online.  Lots of information we knew but it doesn't hurt to learn more information as so many people get scammed.  He did give us some interesting sites:

I took this picture from a distance  The www.haveibeenpwned.com website shows your compromised emails and phone numbers.  I've already checked it and it's excellent!

The cruise director showed a video from an Instagram account.  This gal is an voice actor.  For fun, she interacts with the scammers.  If you follow Instagram, you may want to check her out:  instagram,com/irlrosie   Rosie Okumura

This ship is immaculate.  If there is anyone with COVID, we haven't been told.  We haven't seen anyone in hazmat suits but see a lot of cleaning all day.  They are continually in stair cases and at the elevators.  Most people wear masks and there are sanitizers everywhere.  At restaurants, they make sure either wash your hands in the sinks or use the hand sanitizer provided.  Today in Princess Live where we have lectures and trivia, I saw this:

The pencil cup says "Clean" with a check mark!

All the pencils are cleaned before they put them out!

The theatre had performances from two acts we've seen earlier and thoroughly enjoyed.   The very funny comedian/magician and the musician that played the xylosynth.  We enjoyed them earlier and they put on another great performance.
