I missed it!

Yesterday was International Cat Day and I missed it.  International Cat Day is a celebration which takes place on 8 August of every year. It was created in 2002 by the International Fund for Animal Welfare. It is a day to raise awareness for cats and learn about ways to help and protect them.

We always had a cat or two until we started to travel a lot.  It's not fair to leave an animal alone for long periods of time.

Cheryl, Dave and Lexie were away and I had the pleasure to feed, clean the kitty litter and water the plants.  They have two cats, Roxy who is about ten years old and Persephone who is about 9 months.

Roxy is beautiful!  She was rescued eight years ago from the local SPCA when she was two.  She has no personality and only loves Cheryl and Dave.  She hisses and swipes at me and I've been feeding her!

Persephone was a rescue cat and is full of personality.  She's less than a year so still a kitten that needs a lot of attention and play time.  She waited for us every day!

Cheryl left her air conditioning on so they were comfortable in the house. I'm glad to say they get along and there has been no clumps of hair anywhere!

Two different cats and nice to get cat love every day.
