I have always enjoyed the fireworks from Sydney Harbour. A few years ago, Dave Ritchie and I were discussing our travels. His were far more adventurous and much better than anywhere I've been. He owned a yacht that he sailed through the Mediterranean. I didn't realize they'd gone to Australia on the yacht. He was there on December 31st, anchored in Darling Harbour and witnessed the Sydney fireworks from his yacht. He told me how magnificent it was and it was his best memory of all his travels.
I follow two travel vloggers on You Tube. Tony is from Florida and Don is from Ottawa. They are both in the travel industry and very informative. They were invited on a media/travel FAM on Holland America. They will sail from Sydney to New Zealand in early January. One thing I like about both these vloggers, they will tell you the good and the bad. Don flew into Sydney on Air Canada on December 31st, but Tony got there on the 30th.!

Don flew business class so he wasn't too tired to go to the fireworks. His video is only 5 minutes and fireworks only. I believe Sydney has the best fireworks presentation. They boarded a Captain Cook boat that looked really nice.
Here is Tony's video. It's a little long at first as they walk from the Marriott to the ship where they got last minute fireworks viewing at sea tickets. If you don't want to see the streets of Sydney, fast forward 10 minutes.

I look forward to their vlogs from Holland America around New Zealand.
