Embassy Suites LAX South - Review

Our last vacation, we did have a problem.  I don't like to be negative, but I do like to pass on criticism that may help others.

On March 10th, we had an Air Canada flight that arrived in Los Angeles at 11:50 PM.  I made a reservation with Expedia at Embassy Suites LAX South and paid in advance.  We've stayed at Embassy Suites LAX South before and it was great.  Large suite, Lexie has her own room and they serve a nice breakfast.

We arrived about 12:45 AM in a rainstorm at the hotel.  Check in was easy, all paid for, here is your room key.  Lexie was sick on the flight as I think it was either excitement, lack of sleep or the warm flight.  I wasn't sure, but she was never sick again and fine on the cruise.  She wanted a shower as soon as we got in the hotel room.  She yelled "this bath is disgusting".  Cec went in as we saw black flakes coming out of the shower head.  Probably rust, but who knows.  If the drain wasn't blocked, it would have drained, but there was a pool of disgusting water in the tub.  She went to wash her face, no facecloths or towels!   I went to the telephone to call housekeeping for face cloths, hand towels, and bath towels.  The phone was dead!  So I called on my cell phone and they brought them in 15 minutes.

The rest of the room was clean.  The beds were comfortable but really, no towels, phone doesn't work and what's with the dirt dispensing from the shower!  This picture was taken the next morning.  The water drained overnight.

We had breakfast and checked out.  I've stayed in many Embassy Suites and always been very pleased with the room and breakfast.  They offer a free airport shuttle, but that stopped at 11 PM, no problem, I understand.

I don't know if they will ever contact me.  I don't want a refund or compensation, just an apology.  For the first time, I posted a negative review on Trip Advisor.  I wish I'd read the reviews before I booked the hotel, but being there before I didn't!
