World's best airports

Here is the latest list of the World's Best Airports.  I've been to some of them and I agree with Singapore being No 1.  I've been to Seattle many times and I must have been in the wrong terminal because the terminal I was in would never make this list.  Good for Vancouver making the list.  I'm glad our Airport Improvement Fees are going to beautifying the airport.  Every time I land at YVR, it makes me happy to see all the improvements and indigenous art.

This is the Jade Canoe carved by Bill Reid in the departures level at Vancouver International Airport.   There is a lot of other artwork and totem poles in the airport.  The vision of our airport authority (YVRAF) should be commended.

YVR Art Foundation (YVRAF) is an independent, not-for-profit, charitable organization founded in 1993 by the Vancouver International Airport (YVR) to support BC and Yukon First Nations art and artists. YVRAF is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors composed of Indigenous artists and community members, museum, education and visual arts professionals, and other supporters of YVRAF’s work.

The Foundation was originally established to acquire and commission Indigenous artwork for installation at YVR, however, since the mid-2000s, the Foundation has focused on supporting individual BC and Yukon First Nations artists through scholarship, grant and award programs, and exhibition and research opportunities.
