Happy Victoria Day

Queen Victoria's birthday was on May 25th.  Since 1845, Canada has celebrated her birthday on the Monday between the 18th and 24th of May every year thereafter.  It's a federal statutory holiday.  We don't do anything "royal", but it's a long weekend when most of Canada has good weather.  Most people feel it's the start of the summer.

Queen Elizabeth's birthday was on April 21st and King Charles is November 14th.  April is too close to Easter and November 14th is right after Remembrance Day.  I'm glad we continue to honour Queen Victoria!
