We just finished watching this movie on Disney +. They say it's a true story, but some are saying it isn't true. I really didn't care. It's a lovely story of a man who had a horrible childhood, dropped out of school, and was on the wrong path!
Richard Montanez was pulled over with his pregnant wife for being in possession of a stolen car. He had guns in the car, warrants for his arrest, he was dealing in and had possession of drugs. A very lenient judge said "I think you can do better, prove to me you can do better". This was a turning point and things went much better.
It's a heartwarming story and I really enjoyed it. It was directed by Eva Longoria.
