Cheryl's car was 12 years old and she was ready to buy a brand new car. She went to a Hyundai dealer she dealt with before and they wouldn't even put her on a list. It's a two year wait and they are not even taking names. They told her many people cancel when their car arrives and she could wait. She wanted to get one soon, so Dave went to the internet.
My son-in-law is a car guy. He knows a lot about cars and found her a two year old BMW that was short range electric/hybrid with 20,000 km's. She bought a gorgeous red car! It's now one month old. She gets 30 KM on an electric charge that gets her to the office and grocery store. They have an extra 220V outlet on their electric box because their house was built to have a basement suite. However, with just a regular plug it charges overnight on the 120V garage plug. She said her electric is up minimally but her petrol bill went from $500.00 a month to $33.00 and that was before gas dropped by 25 cents.
Dave was so pleased with her car, he bought one too! His is white and a little larger and a lovely vehicle. They are saving more than $1,000.00 a month!
