This weekend, I watched the first four episodes of Season 6, the final season of The Crown. Netflix released four episodes on November 16 and the final six episodes will be released December 14.
I loved the first five seasons. This season starts showing Charles and Diana co-parenting William and Harry. Most of the episodes were about Diana and Dodi, a love story. Did he really propose to her? I didn't know, or I forgot, Dodi was already engaged when he met Diana and dumped the American actress.
I read an article in the New York Times that Mario Benna, the photographer that got the photos on the yacht was not hired by Mohamed al-Fayed as the story says. He spent his summers in Sardinia so he could take paparazzi shots of famous people. Coming across the yacht with Dodi and Diana was a "great stroke of luck".
I wasn't overwhelmed, it was more like a Hallmark movie. You need to remember when you watch it, it's fiction.
