British TV

I love British TV.  I tried to access it by using a VPN but they don't work for long.  I would pay for a British TV license to watch their excellent drama series but you can't get a license in Canada.  A Brit I know who was visiting for 6 months tried to transfer their TV license to Canada, but they wouldn't let him do it.  They still paid for it when they were abroad but couldn't watch British TV in Canada. We get BBC World on our television with Rogers/Shaw and watch the news regularly.  The Knowledge Network and PBS broadcast some great British shows, but they are old.  BritBox is now available in Canada but it's $99.00 a year.

I found out through a Facebook group, some British TV is available in Canada via a website.  I did some research and it is a French video hosting website owned by Vivendi and it is legal in Canada.

Yesterday they had the same day episode of Coronation Street and the new episode of Call the Midwife that was shown in the UK Sunday but not available in Canada/US on PBS until March 17th.  There is much more, if anyone is interested.
