Last Friday I won a gift basket of cakes from Mila's Honey Cakes on Beecher Street in Crescent Beach. I don't live close to this business but yesterday we went to thank them for the gift. It's a family owned coffee shop and bakery. Cec loved the cakes!
We purchased another honey cake from a young girl in who has lived in Canada for some time. Her parents owned a restaurant in the Ukraine and left their business and their home because of the war. Their daughter lives in Surrey and started this business as the parents missed the restaurant they had to close. She opened up this unique bakery. The family works together!
My cousin Nancy and I walked Crescent beach frequently last year. It's been too cold this year, but we plan on starting this week. We always end with a coffee at the Crescent Coffee House but next time, we will visit Mila's! It's great to support local businesses and especially for people who have been displaced by the war in the Ukraine!
If you want to read the reviews of Mila's, check Google Reviews they get a 5.0! There are so many delicious baked goods to choose. I should have taken pictures but if you want to see what they offer, they have a great Instagram site!
