My cell phone has been acting up for about a month. I was missing text messages! One from a neighbour that needed something and another invite to dinner! I've apologized and couldn't understand why some messages just didn't come through. I blamed Rogers but on Tuesday, my phone stopped!
A friend who loves the latest and greatest in technology, got a new Samsung Fold 5, $2,559.00 at the Samsung store! I asked if her old phone that was two years old was not working, and she said, "it's fine, I just wanted a new one"! So, she gave me a Samsung Fold 3! It's the size of a small tablet and so easy to read. I've had it for six months and loved it until Tuesday.
I took my Fold 3 to the Samsung store in Metrotown and they told me it would be $660.00 plus taxes to repair! I decided to buy a new Samsung A54 5G with taxes was $506.00. I always check phone specifications on www.gsmarena.com and it has a 50 MP camera. That's a great price for a decent phone with a good camera.
I will miss the large screen, but now I don't need to worry about missing messages. If anyone sent me a message I did not respond to, it was my phone and I apologize!
The salesman at the Samsung store asked me why I didn't buy it from Rogers! They don't offer the A54 but the Samsung Fold 5 is $50.00 a month for the phone and they put you on the expensive infinite phone plan to pay the difference. When you figure it out, it's much more than buying unlocked and paying in full.
