Day 6 - Haines

We arrived at Haines at 7:00 AM.  It was a decent day.  The weather network predicted rain all day, but it never rained.  It was so warm, we took off our coats.  We took the shuttle to the business area which isn't far from the pier.  We walked around and went into the library with about 100 other passengers inside.  It was a shock to see people talking loudly on the phone and one guy by me was watching a video with loud sound.  I take it these people rarely go to a library.  I felt sorry for people who were trying to read.  They had a nice selection of magazines and it was a lovely library.

We walked back to the ship and had a nice lunch in the dining room.  Cec went into the dart tournament and did well, but didn't win.  He really enjoys darts and has met some nice dart players.

Dinner in the specialty restaurant did not disappoint.  We all had fabulous steaks and so many other extras.  Our former neighbours, Fred and Leslie, were in the specialty restaurant too.  We've had some good conversations with then as we haven't seen them in a while.  We need to find the people who bought our former Richmond house. Chuck and Elaine bought our house and are on this cruise.  Fred told us Chuck can't find the water turnoff.  Cec is still trying to remember where it is.  We may have to visit them and I'm sure he will find it.  We both think it's under the stairs. They are a really nice couple.

After dinner we rolled up to the Commodore Club to watch the classical guitarist.  He was great to listen to.

Another lovely day on this cruise.
