Last fall on a one day Princess Cruise we went to a comedy show.  The comedian said "if Donald Trump gets elected the jokes will write themselves".  We all laughed.  Well, it's true.  We used to watch the late night comedians if they had someone interesting to interview.  Now we watch them all nightly for the monologues.   We have time shift on our cable so we record them all earlier in the evening. 

It doesn't matter what your political opinion is, they make fun of everyone.  They scan the news and find the funny side.  Humour makes the darkest day brighter.  A grief counsellor told me when I felt blue to put on the comedy channel.  We watch the comedy channel and anything that makes us laugh daily.  If you don't laugh, you cry and who wants that.  I don't know why they are picking on Stephen Colbert because John Oliver and Bill Maher are funnier.  Jimmy Fallon and Jimmy Kimmel are good too.  This isn't bashing a Republicans only.  These guys and their predecessors had a great time with Bill Clinton!  Obama didn't give them material but George Bush Jr. also gave them some good jokes.  They pick on everyone!

In Canada the Royal Canadian Air Farce on CBC did an excellent job of making fun of Canadian politicians.  It's not aired weekly any more but they do a great special at New Years.
