I've found apps to be very helpful every day. It takes a while to start to use them but once you do, you find the convenience of them. On my phone, I booked a Princess Cruise to Alaska! The price was so good, it couldn't wait until I got home. I booked it after I ordered my lunch in a restaurant and before the meal was delivered! I also use airline apps all the time. It not only gives you the flight information but is your boarding pass. You can check in to your flight, select your seat and find out if there is a delay all on one app.
Today I found a BC Lottery app! I don't buy lottery tickets every week but I do buy them and seem to keep them in my wallet for ages before I go to the mall and check to see if I'm a winner. I downloaded the BC Lottery app and scanned my ticket! I won a free play....great way to start the day.

You can set up an account to purchase lottery tickets online. I did that when I was working, however my credit card company declined the payment! When I called they said online gambling is not allowed. I guess a good rule for a compulsive gambler. At the time my credit card carried a $25,000 limit, was paid off monthly and I was trying to put $10 on a quick pick. I haven't tried to buy online lately because going to the store for a walk is a much better idea.
