Day 5 - Full Day in Santa Fe

When we got up this morning it was -2C/28.4F!  The wind is blowing but the sun is shining.  The altitude is high but we were not expecting such cold weather.  The high today is +7C/44.6F.  We did part of the walking tour and then saw the free shuttle bus and got on and warmed up.  The bus stopped at the state capitol so we all got off!

We couldn't see the state capitol building as it's not domed like most in the US.  We were shocked as we were able to just walk in.  There was a security guard but he didn't check our bags or make us go through a normal US security check point.  He was more like a welcoming committee, told us what to see and where to go.  The building is four stories so we went right to the top.

The gorgeous trees in front of the state capitol building.

It's only four stories and doesn't have a dome.  The building is magnificent inside!

First stop, Office of the Governor!  We went right in.  They were very nice and told us to check out his artwork.

Rotunda - notice the gorgeous works of art, every type of art located throughout the building

We were on the third floor and looked down to see this choir getting into position!
When they started to sing, I videoed it!  They are from Farmington, NM and here for the state championships.
If this video won't work, it's on my Facebook page!
