A wonderful Sunday!

Yesterday was a gorgeous day. There were four cruise ships in port at Canada Place, so we ventured downtown.  We parked our car at the South Surrey Park and Ride, took the #351 highway bus to Bridgeport Station and the Canada Line right to Canada Place!  The highway bus was air conditioned!  I didn't know our buses had air conditioning. It was 29C/84F when we left!  The blueberry fields in South Surrey are full of buds so this should be a great blueberry season.  Lots of people on Skytrain enjoying the gorgeous day.

We walked through Gastown and enjoyed watching the many tourists in town.  As it was Mother's Day and most fancy restaurants would be very busy, so we opted for The Old Spaghetti Factory.  The last time I was at The Old Spaghetti Factory our Red Hat Queen was telling us stories of ghosts in the restaurant.  I found this interesting website:

Is The Old Spaghetti Factory haunted?

Our table was from an old Singer Sewing Machine
After lunch we walked through Gastown to Canada Place.  Four ships were docked yesterday at Canada Place.  This is only happens twice this year, yesterday and June 2nd.

Docked on the west side of the pier:
Princess Cruises Emerald Princess
Pat, Fran, Greg and Deneene got off this morning.  They did the repositioning cruise from Los Angeles.

I love watching the people on the ship!

Holland America's Westerdam
Docked on the east side of Canada Place:
Royal Caribbean Radiance of the Seas
