Sullivan Gate BBQ

A few of the neighbours
Just before we left for our cruise, our complex had it's annual BBQ.  It was a very hot day and instead of going to the "park" area that was in full sun, Maureen opened her back yard to everyone.  It was in complete shade!  Block Watch and our Strata Company shared the burger and hot dog expense.  The committee did an excellent job in organizing.  I offered my services but the organizing  meeting was the day the UK Red Hatters were in town so I declined.  They had lots of volunteers.
Gabriel from Surrey RCMP Block Watch came with some great information and safety tips.
Fresh Street Market gave us a good discount on our burgers.  Everyone brought a salad, appetizer or dessert so there was plenty of food.

We played games and the highlight was "the wet t-shirt contest".  They kept talking about it throughout dinner and I wondered what they were going to do.  They set up a bucket of water and gave the women a t-shirt.  About 10 yards away was a beer bottle.  The game was to wet the shirt and wring it into the beer bottle.  The 2 minute timer was put on and it was a lot of fun to watch.
Checking the height of the t-shirt water!  Barb #8 was the winner!
There were lots of prizes and I won second prize.  First prize was a $50 gift certificate to Fresh Street Market but I choose:
$25 Gift Certificate to Big Ridge Brewing Company
This "jug" can be filled with craft beer for $11.00!
We love Big Ridge!  The best part is we don't even drive there, we just walk across the street!  The food is excellent and so is the craft beer.  Now it's time to fill the "jug"!
