Lou's Grill

We frequently travel the Abbotsford/Mission connector to get to Harrison Hot Springs and the Stave River.  We drove by Lou's Grill many times and always noted there were lots of cars in the parking lot.  We stopped in once and now we will go out of our way to have a great meal at Lou's.  Lou's appeared to be an old home with an addition.  It had a special charm and character.  The servers were students and the service and food was superb.  It's a family owned restaurant and very popular with the locals.  It opened in 1991.  I'm not sure when we started going but it was long before we moved to Surrey.

On October 6, 2016, I watching the morning news and they were at the site of a horrible fire at Lou's Grill.  It was a total loss.  I follow Lou's on Facebook and earlier this summer, they announced a grand re-opening.  We drove out a few days after the re-opening and couldn't even get near the parking lot!  Yesterday we drove out to Abbotsford and had a wonderful lunch at Lou's.

Lou's Grill Fire

Horrific fire and thankfully one person inside escaped without injury.

Looks just the same!

Newer and nicer.  Before there were tables where the booths are

Great selection of local Craft Beers and on Tuesday's they are $3.95!

Tables and chairs are nicer.  The windows and inside is the same as before but very much updated.

This is a Lou's burger, not that you can even see the bun!
I was going to order a side salad, but then I remembered how tasty Lou's spuds are.
Roasted potatoes with sour cream and green onions!
