Snow and more snow!

This picture was taken Sunday night

We can't even see the house next door
Environment Canada had a snowfall warning on Sunday.  We never know whether to believe them as many times they predict snow, and it rains.  The snow started about 1 PM Sunday afternoon and then all the above fell in about six hours.  It stopped, but there was so much snow the schools in Surrey were closed yesterday.  They say the southern region of Vancouver was hardest hit.  Usually it's the mountains but this storm came from the south.  Seattle got more than we did!

Yesterday, another snowfall warning was issued.  It was light and started about 4 PM.  Well, it's snowed for most of the night.  All schools and universities in Greater Vancouver are closed.  How much snow do we have?  I am not about to go outside and measure, but it's a lot!

One nice thing about being retired, we sit inside and watch the mayhem on the roads on TV.  Cheryl and Dave are both staying home today with Lexie.  Luckily they can take flex or vacation days where they work.

It was minus 3C/26F at 7:30 AM and it's still snowing.  It doesn't appear it will stop until early tomorrow morning.  Garbage collection is scheduled today but Surrey couldn't get yesterday's garbage picked up so we are not even moving our bins out of the garage.

It will warm up by Thursday but will take a lot to melt all the snow we have.

Where is that darn ground hog anyway?
