I find many apps very useful. Life Labs have an app that shows wait times of all labs around your location and let's you book in before you leave home.

I make appointments every three months at Life Labs for a blood test. I've been in the waiting room when it's completely full and other times there is no one waiting. I had an 8:00 AM appointment for the end of the month, however, I just found out my doctor is going away! I went on line and the earliest appointment I could get was 10:10 AM. The test I have requires no food or drink for 12 hours, so 10:10 was late.
I got up early yesterday and went for a walk. I did some housework and tried to keep myself busy until my 10:10 appointment. The wait room was full but they took me immediately thanks to my appointment. From now on, I'll get up, check the app, check in and arrive when it's time. That will save me turning on the alarm and watching the clock!
There was a poster on the wall but I didn't have time to read it. The lab technician gave me a brochure and said "never wait again, check in before you come". Sometimes you have to get appointments immediately, and this app shows all the locations around you with the current wait times. You can easily check-in on your smart phone and get there when they are ready to take you! Thank you Life Labs!
