I've been on Let's Make a Deal, twice. Yes and I won twice! It was a great experience and if anyone is going to Los Angeles, I suggest you check with CBS and get free tickets. There is a technique to getting picked and if anyone goes, call me because what I read and was told worked!
Cheryl and Dave went to a taping of The Price is Right with Drew Carey a couple of years ago when they were in California. The tickets are free and you request them through the studio.
I read The Price is Right Live is coming to Vancouver. Exciting yes, but you need to know the details. This is NOT the TV filming version. MGM Casino bought the rights to this show in 2003. It's a casino cash grab! It's been at Bally's in Las Vegas when we've been there. I did not go.
The cost to get into the Vancouver show starts at $39.50 plus the extra Ticketmaster charges. Cheryl knows people that have gone to these shows and they don't win the great prizes that are shown on TV. Yes they win, but take the number of people in the audience at River Rock, they choose a few contestants and do the math. Your chances of getting chosen are slim to nil....Entertainment yes, but it's not what you think it will be. You need to read the rules and regulations before the show.
This is what I found on line:
Contestants can win cash, appliances, vacations, and possibly even a new car.
Four live shows will be played out at the River Rock Casino from Friday, June 14 to Sunday, June 16.
Tickets will be available for purchase on Friday, March 8 at 10 am, starting at $39.50 (plus service charges). Show contestants will be selected in a random draw and must be 19 years or older to play. Tickets can be purchased online at the River Rock website.
If you’re interested in playing, don’t wait too long — The Price is Right Live has given away more than $12 million in cash and prizes and has been selling out destinations across North America for more than 10 years.

I looked it up on Trip Advisor and found the following review:
What a joke! Saw this at a Rochester venue that seats 2000+....at an average ticket price of $50, with a sold out show, this production is raking in a LOT of money. You'd think the prizes would reflect that kind of budget, right? WRONG! The big winners left with $250, $100....and the Showcase winner lost out on everything but a computer and printer (she had to bid correctly within $100 of the price of a trip and a car.....pretty darned impossible). The "contestant row" winners who correctly bid on their prizes got to play a game....but didn't even get to keep the prize they bid on! If they were unlucky in the game (as nearly all were), they were handed a T-shirt! The random drawings throughout the night consisted of $25 gift cards from Target and Starbucks!
Oh, and just in case you were thinking that ticket you bought gave you the opportunity to be picked to "come on down"....think again. Only those who lined up THREE HOURS BEFORE SHOWTIME to "register" got their names added to the hat. And, you didn't need to have a ticket to the show....anyone off the street can show up, wait in line, register, and have the same chance to be called to be a contestant! (Read the rules .... BEFORE you buy a ticket to this lame show).
The host for the Rochester show was Mark Walberg .... the one from Antiques Roadshow ("not the 'hot one' as the kid in front of us noted!). He did an OK job, attempting to sound excited about giving away pretty much nothing all night!
There are lots of reviews on Trip Advisor and this was the first one I pulled up. They all give it a poor rating.
