Scott Moir and Tessa Virtue

This morning, Scott and Tessa announced their retirement from ice dancing.  After 22 years of competing together, the most decorated figure skaters in Olympic history are calling it a career.

Virtue, 30, and Moir, 32, are the most decorated ice dancers in Olympic history. They won gold at the 2010 Vancouver Olympics, a pair of silver medals at the 2014 games, and captured two more golds at the 2018 Olympics in Pyeongchang.

They are planning on a Canada wide tour starting in October in Abbotsford.  They captured the hearts of all Canadians and we wish them well in their retirement.

Scott revealed he’s set to marry Jackie Mascarin, his former skating partner before he and Tessa became a pair in 1997. She was on hand when Scott and Tessa were given Canada's Walk of Fame Hometown Stars, which is when he let his big news slip.  Tessa has some celebrity endorsements and I've watched her on TV commercials.

They may retire from skating, but will have great futures.
