Greta Thunberg

Greta was named Time Magazine's person of the year.  All day I've read posts of people including the President of the US trashing this teenager.  She is 16 years old.  She sailed from Plymouth, England, to New York City, United States, aboard the Malizia II, a racing yacht equipped with solar panels and underwater turbines. The trip was announced as a carbon neutral transatlantic crossing.  It was a demonstration of her declared beliefs of the importance of reducing emissions. The voyage lasted 15 days, from 14 to 28 August 2019.  She attended the UN Climate summit in New York City and continued her crusade across North America coming to Vancouver.

Whether you agree or disagree with her views, she is a teenager trying to make a difference!  She should be applauded for her conviction.  Other teenagers who made a difference are Malala Yousafzai and the survivors of the 2018 school shooting in Parkland, Florida.

Let's celebrate these children and stop the negativity.  The fact they have a conviction and try to make a change should be thanked and not bullied or dissed.   They are the leaders of tomorrow.
