Last year a seventh land was added to the Alex Fraser Bridge. They've put in the zipper-like barrier system and it's almost ready to be implemented! It will help commuters that cross this bridge every rush hour.
What a fabulous idea. It's been working for the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco and now one of our busiest bridges will have an extra lane northbound in the morning and southbound in the evening! Next Monday it should be in full operation!
