Tsawwassen Mills

Yesterday, we ventured to our first mall since March.  The only reason we went to Tsawwassen Mills is because it's a huge mall that few people visit.  They built it a few years ago in an area of Vancouver that is not very accessible.  I often wonder how some of the businesses stay open.  They have shuttles from downtown Vancouver, Richmond and the Tsawwassen ferry terminal taking people to shop.  I understand people come over from Vancouver Island to shop there.  Right now ferries are for essential services only and the shuttle buses are not running.
The mall parking lot!   It's a big lot but hardly any cars!

Boston Pizza is open and looked like a great place for lunch

No need to worry in this restaurant
We were the ONLY people in the restaurant.  The servers wore masks and every second table had an "X" on it.  We were given a paper menu and the server said she would not be removing plates while we were at the table.  She asked if I wanted another cup of coffee and when I said yes, she brought me another cup of coffee.  No refills and I wasn't charged for two cups!

Cec had The Hungry Carnivore.  It's a new menu item and was penne with some different meats!  The portion was huge and we brought half of it home. I asked if they still had their half quesadilla with salad.  It wasn't on the menu, but it is available for lunch.  It's only $10.00 and the portion size is excellent.

I worry restaurants will not be able to continue with the declining customers.  We enjoy eating out and while we don't do it often, it's a real treat now when we do.  I hope people start patronizing these establishments!  You will feel very safe.  The outside doors were propped open and there was hand sanitizer inside the door at the hostess station.  At the end of our meal when the server handed me the payment terminal, she told me it was just cleaned.  They are being so careful!  I guess they arrived in hazard gear to clean our table after we left.

Off to the mall:
It never was busy, but this is unbelievable!   As we walked through the mall, we did see other people.  There are arrows on the floor.  About 70% of the businesses were open.  I only saw two with small lineups, at Lulu Lemon and Adidas.  They both had sales.

The only store we went in was the Lindt chocolate store as we thought we would buy Lexie a treat.  All the Easter Candy was 80% off!   We bought her an Easter Basket that was originally $27.99 and we got it for $5.60!   We bought Cheryl and Dave some other goodies and some for us.  The entire purchase was less than the basket!

Bass Pro shops is not accessible from the mall, but the outside entrance only.   All the other shops have mall access.
