Gorgeous day!

Yesterday was a beautiful day!  We decided to go to White Rock and have fish and chips.  There was a survey on Facebook and the respondents said Jan's was the best place in White Rock for fish and chips.  It's across the street from the old train terminal.

I am really glad they offered free parking in the winter again.  The restaurants and businesses really suffer.  The parking is for four hours which is great for a long walk and a relaxing lunch.

On weekdays it's not busy.  Last weekend was very busy.  Marine Drive is closed to eastbound traffic between West and Each beach, up the hill.  So if you go to White Rock, take Hwy. 99 and 8th Avenue exit.  There was lots of parking yesterday, but last weekend parking was impossible to find.  If you go on a weekend, get there early!

We enjoyed our lunch at Jan's.  It's not very big but the waitress was very friendly and service was good.  Fish was really fresh but we felt the batter at C-Lovers was better.  The views were amazing and it would be a nice place to take visitors from out of town.  

The wind was really cold and there were white caps in Semiahmoo Bay.  It was a wonderful fall day!
