About four weeks ago, I woke up on a Sunday morning around 7 AM to a text message from Cheryl: CALL ME ASAP
I went into panic mode and phoned immediately. She answered the phone and said "do you have the Open Table app on your cell phone"? "Of course I do! " She asked me to go into the app and secure a brunch reservation at Earl's a nice local restaurant with a great patio for May 9th, Mothers Day! With COVID raging in our city, she couldn't make a reservation for 5, only 3. Would I make a reservation for 2 so we could get together.
With Dr. Bonnie's rules in place, Earl's only has tables for four. We got a table for two six feet across from them! It was easy to have a conversation and nice to eat out with the family!
We've been to Earl's for brunch before and I must say, it's a good one. Cec and I both had the lobster and crab omelette! It's served with a tasty green salad and was excellent. They brought a beautiful bouquet of flowers and a nice card that sings What I Like About You!
We will have to go to the garden shop tomorrow and get a hanger for it! How nice of them both!
The sun was shining, the temperature was 17C and it was a wonderful day! Thank you Cheryl, Dave, Lexie, Brad & Maria!
