Discovering Graham Island

Yesterday we went on a road trip.  From Queen Charlotte to Masset.  The roads are very good.  There is very little traffic and this island has one stop light.  It’s at the ferry terminal to ensure cars get off quickly.

That's an eagle on the rock!
First stop, Balance Rock.

 Then on to Jungle Beach.

Our next stop was Port Clements (population 280).  We visited the museum.  I got some good pictures but I’ll post them later.

We ended up in Masset (population 300).  Friday from 11 – 2 is Market Day!  We hit that right.  Lots of vendors and some very interesting tables.

I should have bought some pickles!

The conversation with the police officer and gentleman was very pleasant.  It's the only officer we've seen.

The scenery just keeps getting better.  The people are so friendly.  Everyone waves as they drive by!  Even in restaurants, people beside you will start up a conversation.  This is a wonderful place to visit and it would be a very peaceful place to live.

On our way back to QC, we stopped at the Tlell River.  Cec did some fly fishing but wasn't able to catch any.  Lots of people hiking and they all spoke as they walked by.  One couple yelled hello from the other side of the river.  There was quite a few people fishing on the river.

To end off this wonderful day we went back to The Blacktail for another excellent dinner.

Starting to plan next year's vacation
