We got up yesterday after a great sleep to a beautiful day! The Comfort Inn had a bagged breakfast. We went into the lobby and because of COVID there was a nice lady behind a shield with everything you would want for breakfast. Lots of fresh fruit, cereal in little boxes, muffins, granola bars and lots of other nice things. She bagged a muffin, apple and banana for me and I picked up a nice cup of coffee.
The 2 1/2 hour drive to Port Hardy was lovely. The road was excellent and there was very little traffic.
Port Hardy harbour is a nice area. Lots of benches to enjoy the nice park.
We went for a drive to see where the ferry comes in. If you look to the right, that's where the BC Ferry docks. It's lush, green and lots of birds!
Today we board the ferry. We must get in the ferry lineup between 5:30 and 6:00 AM! So it's early up. I read there is no Wi-Fi on the ferry so don't worry if I don't post. I will try to get a cell signal and post pictures from my cell phone if I can get a signal. Looking forward to a lovely cruise. We stop in Bella Bella and get into Prince Rupert at 11:30 PM. Our ferry to Haida Gwaii leaves at 10:30 AM and again we must be there before 9 AM.
