Well that was a fun weekend!

On Saturday morning, the cement guys came to replace our sinking cement porch and cracked sidewalk. 

It took all day.  The cement truck didn't come until 3 and they never left until dark!  They did an amazing job!

It's going to take three days to dry.  Didn't they know I've got 11 people coming for dinner tomorrow night?

While they were making a lot of noise, Kathy and I decided to go flower shopping:

It's too cold to plant them but Kathy says it's the best time to go as the selection is so good.  I only purchased some marigolds and white plants for around our tree at the front and flowers for my barrel.  Kathy gets to water them in my garage until we come home.  She bought five gorgeous hanging baskets and a lot of nice flowers.

Last night, Cheryl, Dave and Lexie took us out for dinner to our favorite Sushi restaurant to celebrate Mother's Day.  We will be away on Mother's Day and it was so nice of them to celebrate early.  We went for sushi and it was delicious.  We also celebrated Lexi's excellent report card.  Since she started high school she's always been on the honour roll and received all G's for citizenship every report, every year!   Great comments from all her teachers.  It's hard to believe next year she graduates!
