Day 4 Skagway

We arrived in Skagway at 6 AM as it's not far to cruise from Juneau to Skagway,  The weather forecast says high of 9C/48F feels like 6C/42F.  The sun came out to a beautiful day.  There are only two ships in port, us and a Carnival ship.  In the morning we went for a nice walk through Skagway.  I kept hearing online the White Pass and Yukon Railway isn't running this year.  Yes it is and another passenger purchased a ticket for US$ 135.00 at the White Pass Ticket Office.  It will only go up to the US/Canada border.  Probably the ARRIVE CAN app and all the hoops they need to go through is stopping the train from entering Canada.

These "ladies" were singing and inviting everyone to their show.  We didn't go to the show.

We walked back from Skagway with Winston and Donna and met for lunch at Alfredo's.  On port days you don't get a lot of restaurant choices, but Alfredo's is great food and the service is top notch.

Relaxing afternoon and a delicious wild salmon dinner.  Started with baby scallops and cucumber salad, ended with cherries jubilee!   Then off to the production show, "Sweet Soul Music".  The lead singers had strong voices and the dancers were very good.  We loved the music.  The costumes were very colourful.

Notice all the empty seats in the theatre!  So easy to social distance as there are two shows and only 50% full.

Leaving Skagway at 9:00 PM.  Gorgeous night cool and crisp!

Carnival ship departed ahead of us and you can see it in the distance.

Tomorrow Icy Strait Point!
