It's Cruise Day!

We went to the airport to have COVID Antigen test done by CVM yesterday.  They were efficient and fast.  I would recommend them to anyone.  We are packed, tested negative and have our vaccine documents and COVID test results ready for check-in.  Our Medallion has us in the GREEN LANE with a 10:30 am arrival time.

We are travelling with Margaret and Dave who live in Parksville.  They were coming over the day of the cruise but with the staffing problems on BC Ferries, they decided to come over a day early and stay with their daughter overnight.  They will leave their car in our driveway and we will all go down on Skytrain.  It's a great way to get to Canada Place.

This is our second trip on the Royal Princess.  We sailed her around the British Isles and she's a lovely ship.  This is the ship's first cruise since COVID.  The ships crew is new and  it may take them a few days to get up to what we've experienced previously on Princess.  We know it's early May and the weather won't be top-notch, but we've got great raingear.  I always tell people who complain about rain, it's the reason Alaska so lush and green!  Ketchikan is in a rain forest, expect rain!  The weather report is looking better than I expected.

I will post when internet co-operates.  We have the Princess Plus package that includes the beverage package, Wi-Fi and gratuities.  I don't usually order Princess Plus but they offered us a good deal so we decided to give it a try.

If you are wanting any questions answered about the return to cruising or the Medallion, please don't hesitate to email me at l-fisher@shaw.ca and I will answer your questions when I can.

We've really missed our sea adventures!
