We got up early and went to the IHOP for breakfast. I was shocked at the price of a two egg, two bacon and two pancake breakfast. I know it's cheaper in BC but it was the tax that made me thankful I live in BC.

And a 20% tip on top. Service and food were excellent

Then we waited for our Niagara Jet Shuttle. Another great driver and lovely bus. We told him we were going to Pearson Airport but need to be dropped off close to the Train to the City! He said "I may be able to get you to Union Station, we have a bus going to Fairmont Royal York and Union Station is right across the street". We changed shuttles at a Holiday Inn with the ladies that were staying in the York and it was so nice and easy for us to be dropped off right at the train station. |
Via Rail Toronto to Kingston |
A lovely two hour very quiet train ride. We went through a bad storm part way through our journey. On our phones yesterday we got a warning of a severe thunderstorm warning in Toronto. We didn't get the storms in Niagara but saw the black clouds. It sounds like some nasty weather in Southern Ontario but we've missed it so far. When we arrived in Kingston it was warm and sunny! When we got off the train, I got a video of our train leaving the station.
