A day in Kingston

Yesterday we had a full day in Kingston.  We started our day on the 1,000 Island Boat Cruise.

A wonderful paddle wheel boat with an awesome crew.  It was three hours and went up the St. Lawrence and passed many of these lovely islands.

Kingston Harbour

Fort Henry

The cottages and homes were gorgeous.  No wonder they call it cottage country!

After the cruise we went on the Kingston Trolley City Tour.  It was air conditioned and had lovely seats, unlike other trolley tours we've taken through the years.  A great driver with a lot of local knowledge.

We drove through Queens University.  So many buildings so I decided to download this picture.  What a fabulous university and beautiful setting.  Shortly more than 30,000 students will fill the university.

Bellevue House, the home to Sir John A. MacDonald from 1848 to 1849.  It's not my picture because we were on the bus and there were too many trees on the property to get a full picture.
