Yesterday we boarded Via Rail for Ottawa. The train was bound for Ottawa and Montreal. At Brockville the train split in two and our section went to Ottawa and the front section went to Montreal. I must say Via Rail employees are awesome. They are courteous and very helpful. We are enjoying the train journey.
We are staying at the Lord Elgin. A lovely hotel in the heart of town. When we arrived, we walked down to the Rideau Canal and boarded a boat for a canal cruise. It was 29C/84F and very humid. It was nice to get a breeze on the cruise!
