Surrey Police

Yesterday Global published an article on the Surrey Police Transition.  I read it on my cell phone.  It was very slanted for the Surrey Police Service and then in the middle of the article was an advertisement for the Surrey Police!  Since Day 1, Global has been on the side of the SPS and never published anything with good things to say about the RCMP.

I figure Mike Farnsworth will deliver the decision on Thursday night as it's a long weekend and governments tend to do that when it's controversial.

Whatever the decision is, I agree with Linda Annis, we needed an independent audit and/or a referendum.   That's not happening.

I saw this last night on Twitter:

Just in:  Surrey mayor Brenda Locke says ‘I hope it doesn’t come to legal action, we will not back off, I will not fold’ when asked what the response will be if @mikefarnworthbc decides on SPS as police of jurisdiction @GlobalBC @CKNW @JasJohalBC @simisara980 @jarmstrongbc

The best is yet to come!
