Goodbye Lillie

The World is shaped like a cat.
Until a few years ago, we always had at least one cat.  There were times we had two cats.  Cec came home from work one Friday with a lovely lost cat.  We tried to find her owner but never did.  I didn't know she wasn't spayed and one morning we had a choir of males howling on our fence.  65 days later we had four kittens.  Cheryl was 7 and we used it as a learning experience.  Cheryl had a cat baby shower.  We served tuna sandwiches and saucers of milk for lunch.  We got her spayed after the kittens arrived.  We called her Diana and our male was named Charles.  It was 1981.

Lillie was the cat owned by my cousin Jean in the UK.  Jean bought her from a breeder and she was gorgeous.  She was the most spoiled cat I've ever seen.  Lillie passed away recently, but I didn't find out until yesterday.

Lillie's dinner - Jean is a vegetarian but bought fresh organic chicken and cooked it for Lillie
The milk is cat milk.  I didn't even know they had that.
The rest is a buffet of cat food!

I don't remember the year she was born, but every year since she arrived I've been sending her birthday cards on April 15th.  I bought them at Petsmart but they discontinued their card section so I would try to find something at the Carleton card store!  They were much appreciated.

It's never easy to lose a pet. She lived a wonderful life!
